just came back from dinner from asian ten or sth like that..
quite cool the ambience.. abit like indochine..(according to elaine) ive never been there though
there was this huge buddha on the top very zen like ambience
the food was quite good too...and it was the first time we travelled such a far distance from the hotel...
anyway we called a can over and the stupid cab had no meter or license plate.. my gosh... appreciate the system in sg man.. and that guy charged us 20 bucks for a 5 min drive.. probably abt 3 miles or sth.thats like 34 bucks sg la... madnesss
and that taxi driver is mad! ok lets type down the convesatio.. or at least the drift of it.. me and elaine kept quiet and oh my its quite hilarious.. but weird
taxi driver(td): u from hongkong right (russian accented)
elaine's mom ( who cant really speak or understand): ya ya
taxidriver: i can tell .

td: i was a merchant in 1981..bought the best jeans from hk and exported to many parts of russia and italy..
i bought 5000 dozen (emphasis) army uniform from hk and taiwan.. taiwan material bad colour bad.. tsk tsk tsk
(elaine's mom is acutally a taiwanese.. and he tot she was a honkee.. and hello elaine's english is sinaporean english not some honkee english.. act smart only the driver.. sounded so smug summore)
then some truck from the back honks at him from trying to cut lane

oh my the irony of it all man..that guy obviously has a ego problem.. some mcp at home also i suppose.. anyway... elaine wants to go i gtg now.. be back soon:)
