Have u been stricken with restlessness before ? Strangled with uncertainty ? Its like that feeling when rosencrantz and guildenstern are stuck on a boat where they didnt have to really worry about directions at all, not because it didnt matter but because it was all out of their control. Yea ive been feeling like that pretty frequently recently.
Have you ever been grappled with the meaning of your existence and what it means to live? Do you worry that you may not be living your life fully enough? Do you fear the regret which comes with underacheiving or rather inadequate experiencing? I do. And even more so nowadays.
Like a poker player, you watch the dealer lay your cards down. You take a sneak peek at the cards and in your mind you know what cards you need. Everything seems so simple and calculated. Except for the fact that you havent the slightest idea what lies beneath the next dealing card you may receive. Calculations fail and luck paves the way. Suddenly, you're no longer in control. There's only so much you can do. So many decisions you can make. Like a kid who hasnt studied adequately for a mcq test;you choose an option and hope that its right. 25% chance you tell yourself.
As napoleon would put it " Do not give me a general who is good, i want one who is lucky". This great general realised the complementary effect of capabilites and luck. But heaven forbid, if he had to choose one or the other, he would go for luck. He obviously realised that luck would be a more influential factor in war and in our context, life.
-Not that im complaining. I may not be the luckiest but neither am i the unluckiest. I just hope that i will never hit the doldrums in life. heee heeee
yes im a selfish and self centred bitch. But hey, arent we all ?
